Staples will be represented in the State Open Individual Tournament by Luke Foreman in singles and Class LL State Champions Baxter Stein/Connor Mitnick in doubles.  Both entries have byes to the Quarterfinals which will begin 3:00pm Monday at Yale.

CIAC Update Monday, 8:15 am. Matches will go on as scheduled today. If necessary we will go indoors so there may be some delays. The Avon/Old Saybrook doubles match will go off around one, and the Greenwich doubles match with the pm conflict will go out about 3. Other matches are also scheduled to start at 3 but, as mentioned, delays are possible.
Play resumes Monday with an Opening Round of Doubles at 1:00 at Yale (Arciero/Thramann of Avon vs Sabahudin/Henry of Old Saybrook. The quarterfinals of singles and doubles will follow at 3:00. We are sharing the site with the Girls State Open, so lots of exciting tennis is in store. Tuesday afternoon (4:00) will be the semi-finals, and we will complete the event with our finals on Wednesday afternoon, 4:00 also at Yale University.
