Adam Friend
Staples Boys’ JV Tennis Coach, Adam Friend, grew up in Houston, TX where he started playing tennis competitively at the age of 9. As a 12-year old, he was nationally ranked in the top 100, and ultilmately played four years of Varsity high school tennis, qualifying for the Texas State tournament in both his junior and senior years. Recruited by several top Division III tennis programs, he opted to attend Duke University where he played on the Club tennis team. Over the years, he has continued playing racket sports, including padel, squash and tennis. Adam has had a 30 year career in finance, has lived all over the world (Mexico City, Madrid, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Cleveland, New York City, Montana and Chile), and currently resides in Westport with his wife, daughter (13) and son (11).
