2019 Class LL State Champions!! 4 Peat! Daus/Brunetti Claim Doubles Title!

The Wreckers clinched the Class LL title after the doubles team of Robbie Daus and Tighe Brunetti won their semifinal match against Greenwich 6-4, 6-3.

The Wreckers have now won 22 State Championships in program history and have won the last 4 years!

The freshman doubles duo of Daus/Brunetti when onto win the Class LL Doubles championship after defeating the team from Westhill in the finals 6-4, 6-2. Daus/Brunetti won five straight matches without dropping a set enroute to there title.

The Wreckers move into Class LL Semifinals all tied up in Standings

Today, Staples advanced three entries into the Semifinals of the Class LL Singles and Doubles State Tournament.

Eric Stein, the 3 seed in the Singles draw, advanced by defeating the 6 seed from Greenwich Justin Speaker 6-3, 6-2.

The doubles tandem of Tighe Brunetti and Robbie Daus, who are the number 1 seeds, moved on with a 6-4, 6-4 victory of the 8 seeded team from Fairfield Ludlowe.

And the team of Adam Greenlee and Jason Katz continue there unblemished run as an unseeded team defeating another seeded team, the 10 seeds from Ridgefield 7-6, 6-3.

The Wreckers Advance To 10th Straight FCIAC Final

Staples turns regular loss to Greenwich into a big FCIAC Semifinal Win to advance to the FCIAC Finals.

The Wreckers look to defend there title and go for six straight championships.

Under 10 seasons as the coach, Hrisovulos has led the Staples program to 10 FCIAC finals. His record going into tomorrow’s final is 5-4.
